Adding an artist

Benefits of Adding An Artist Profile on WCWD

Creating an Artist Profile on WhereCanWeDance.com offers several unique advantages:

  • Display Travel Schedules: Artists can showcase all of their travel dates and events in one central location, making it easier for followers to stay up-to-date.

  • Artist Booking Portals: Artists can create booking portals to streamline communication and provide organizers with all the necessary information for booking them for events.

  • Artist Stars: Followers can support their favorite artists by making $5 donations, which are sent directly to the artist’s bank account through the Artist Stars feature.

  • Private Lesson Management: Artists gain access to a private lesson management system that allows them to schedule and manage private lessons efficiently.

  • Subscription Options: Followers can subscribe to an artist's profile and receive a weekly email update every Sunday. This update includes the artist’s upcoming bookings, allowing followers to stay informed about the artist's schedule and support the events they are booked for.

By creating an Artist Profile, you'll have a dedicated space to manage and promote your work while connecting with event organizers and your audience.

How to Add an Artist

1. Artist Name Info

In this section, you will enter the artist’s name.

  • A slug (unique URL identifier) will be automatically generated based on the artist’s name.

  • You will be notified in real-time if the slug is already taken, allowing you to modify it as needed.

2. Artist Detail

Here, you will input the artist’s bio.

  • Use the available text formatting options to represent yourself:

    • Bold, Italics, Underline

    • Ordered lists and numbered lists

    • Hyperlinks for any relevant links.

  • Next, select the dance styles you represent, teach, or DJ for.

3. Artist Role

Select the artist’s role(s) in this section:

  • DJ

  • Instructor

  • Media Person (e.g., Photographer or Videographer)

4. Media Image

Upload a media image to visually represent the artist.

  • The ideal image is a rectangular landscape with an aspect ratio of 6:4 for the best display.

5. Artist Links

Add any links associated with the artist:

  • Website

  • YouTube Channel

  • Facebook Page

  • Instagram

  • TikTok

  • SoundCloud (for DJs)

  • Spotify (for DJs)

  • MixCloud (for DJs)

6. Submit Artist Profile

Once all sections are completed, click Add a New Artist to submit the profile.

  • The profile will automatically go into a pending status for review.

  • Our team will review and approve the profile, after which it will be visible on the site and selectable for any future events being created.
