The vision behind the Organizer and Artist Subscriptions on WhereCanWeDance.com is to help streamline the process of discovering events by delivering them directly to users’ e-mail inboxes. This means users won’t have to visit the site and search for events—they can stay informed with weekly updates.

How It Works

Users can subscribe to organizers they want to follow or artists they are interested in. These subscriptions allow users to stay up-to-date with events being organized or attended by their favorite artists.

Organizers: When you subscribe to an organizer, you’ll receive updates on the events they are organizing.
Artists: Artists can share their upcoming events and travel schedules, allowing subscribers to stay informed on where their favorite artists will be performing, teaching, or attending.

Weekly Email Updates

Every Sunday, we send out an automated weekly email to users based on their subscriptions. This email includes:

A summary of upcoming events happening that week based on the artists and organizers they follow.
A section showing all the events that have been booked or listed on the site for the near future.

This ensures that users receive a weekly digest of events without having to visit the site or manually check each organizer or artist page.

Future Enhancements

Currently, subscriptions are available for organizer profiles and artist profiles. In the near future, we plan to expand this feature to include:

City Pages: Once revamped, users will be able to subscribe to specific cities and receive weekly updates on events happening in those locations.
Custom Search Settings: Users will also be able to create custom search filters based on their preferences (e.g., dance styles, locations) and receive weekly emails with events that match those criteria.

With these subscription features, we aim to make event discovery seamless and personalized for every dancer on WhereCanWeDance.com.
