How to Duplicate a Single Event on WhereCanWeDance.com

Duplicating an event is a great way to quickly create a new event using the details of an existing one, saving you time. Follow these steps to duplicate a single event:

Step 1: Open the Three-Dot Menu

First, navigate to the event page and click on the three-dot menu under the event image.

Step 2: Select "Duplicate Event"

After clicking the three-dot menu, a dropdown will appear. From the options, select Duplicate Event.

Step 3: Choose Event Type

A modal window will pop up, allowing you to choose how to duplicate the event. For this instance, select Duplicate as Single Event.

Step 4: Event Creation Form

After selecting "Duplicate as Single Event," you’ll be taken to the event creation form. Here, you'll see that the event name will have the word "(Copy)" added to ensure that the event name and slug remain unique.

What Gets Copied Over

All the key details from the original event will be copied over, including:

  • Organizers

  • Artists

  • Links

  • Description

  • Dates

You’ll only need to make any necessary updates (e.g., changing the event flyer or updating specific details).

Step 5: Add the New Event

Once you’ve made the necessary changes, click Add a New Event, and everything will be copied over, allowing you to quickly create a new event without starting from scratch.

Duplicating events helps save time and ensures consistency across similar events.
